Do you want to sleep above horses in a beautiful rural setting, centrally located and easily accessible? At Manege Groenewoude in Woudenberg we offer three fully equipped double B&B rooms for a very reasonable price. So grab this unique opportunity to sleep close to the horses and experience a real equestrian atmosphere! Our B&B officially opened in May 2017, since then we have welcomed many happy guests from 30 different countries.
The B&B is situated above our cosy canteen, with terrace, where you will be warmly greeted upon arrival with a free welcome drink. During opening hours you can also order various drinks, toasted sandwiches, soup, pizzas and sample the Dutch speciality known as “poffertjes”. The canteen offers a view of our indoor and outdoor riding arenas where there is always something to see!
Woudenberg is centrally located, easy to reach and in the heart of the Dutch countryside. We have the Utrechtse Heuvelrug National Park to the west and the Gelderland Valley to the east. Nature areas where you can hike and cycle to your heart’s content. Woudenberg is located in the middle of a bicycle network and there are also many footpaths in the area. In the Den Treek nature reserve, near Woudenberg, there are also miles of equestrian trails through beautiful woods and heath lands. And Den Treek is accessible from the B&B via a short ride on horseback through the village.
Amersfoort, Zeist and Veenendaal are also nearby; attractive places for sightseeing and shopping. Dining facilities and shops are also available in Woudenberg.

WOULD YOU LIKE TO BRING YOUR HORSE WITH YOU?
Would you like to stay and bring your own horse? That is also possible! Stables and pasture are available for hire. In addition, you can make use of the facilities of the Equestrian Centre. And for riders without their own horse, but with outdoor riding experience, we offer supervised rides in the woods in the spring, summer and autumn.
Stabeling fees are € 25,00 per horse per day.
Further arrangements are of course possible and can be tailored to your wishes. On the day of your arrival you are welcome from 14:00, on the day of your departure we ask you to leave the room before 12:00 pm. Visit the Pyramid of Austerlitz
Unique in the Netherlands, the Pyramid of Austerlitz is a 36 metre high pyramid of earth built in 1804 by Napoleon’s soldiers on one of the highest points of the Utrecht ridge. Atop the pyramid is a stone obelisk from 1894.

Exposition and tour of the Grebbe Line
The Grebbe Line was first established in 1745 as a line of defense to protect the Netherlands from invading armies. The exhibition “Grebbelinie in het Vizier” at Hoeve De Beek, shows the story of the fighting that took place at the Grebbe Line during WWII. A reconstructed trench can be seen. Guided tours are also available.

The B&B is located close to the cycle network. You can easily plan your own route from the stables. You will arrive at the most charming places.
Racing bikes and mountain biking
The Amerongse Berg, a nice climb for racing cyclists but also for mountain biking enthusiasts, there are routes available. An “MTB-vignet” or “dagpas” is required for mountain bike routes.

Solex tour
The solex is a combination of a bicycle and a moped and was all the rage in the ‘60s. From Woudenberg you can explore the beautiful surroundings of Woudenberg, Scherpenzeel and the Utrechtse Heuvelrug by solex.
